PENGEMBANGAN E-MODUL TEKNIK PEMESINAN FRAIS SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN UNTUK PESERTA DIDIK SMK

Abstract


The development of teaching materials plays a crucial role in fostering innovative and effective learning experiences. This study focuses on creating an e-module for the subject of Milling Machine Techniques, specifically designed for vocational high school students. The e-module introduces the fundamental concepts of milling machine techniques and incorporates multimedia elements such as images, animations, audio, and interactive videos. The purpose of using these media is to increase students' motivation to learn and their comprehension of the subject matter. This study involved 11th-grade students majoring in Mechanical Engineering at SMK PGRI 1 Gresik as the primary subjects for the development and evaluation of the e-module. The ADDIE model was used as the development framework, which consists of five stages:

1.Analysis: Identifying learning needs, gaps, and student characteristics.

2.Design: Structuring the e-module, compiling content, and selecting relevant multimedia elements.

3.Development: Creating the e-module with multimedia features such as animations, videos, and interactive images.

4.Implementation: Integrating the e-module into the learning process through small group trials and field tests.

5.Evaluation: Conducting formative evaluations with input from material experts, instructional designers, and peers.

The formative evaluation results indicated that the e-module falls into the "good" category, meeting the criteria as an interactive learning medium. It enables teachers to integrate classroom theory with workshop practice while offering students the flexibility to engage in self-directed learning anytime and anywhere, enhancing both the flexibility and effectiveness of the learning process.

 

Pengembangan bahan ajar memainkan peran penting dalam menumbuhkan pengalaman belajar yang inovatif dan efektif. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pembuatan e-modul untuk mata pelajaran Teknik Mesin Frais, yang dirancang khusus untuk siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan. E-modul ini memperkenalkan konsep dasar teknik mesin frais dan menggabungkan elemen-elemen multimedia seperti gambar, animasi, audio, dan video interaktif. Tujuan dari penggunaan media ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran. untuk pengembangan dan evaluasi e-modul. Model ADDIE digunakan sebagai kerangka kerja pengembangan, yang terdiri dari lima tahap:

1.Analisis: Mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pembelajaran, kesenjangan, dan karakteristik siswa.

2.Desain: Menyusun e-modul, menyusun konten, dan memilih elemen-elemen multimedia yang relevan.

3.Pengembangan: Membuat e-modul dengan fitur-fitur multimedia seperti animasi, video, dan gambar interaktif.

4.Implementasi: Mengintegrasikan e-modul ke dalam proses pembelajaran melalui uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji lapangan.

5.Evaluasi: Melakukan evaluasi formatif dengan masukan dari ahli materi, ahli desain pembelajaran, dan teman sejawat.

Hasil evaluasi formatif menunjukkan bahwa e-modul termasuk dalam kategori “baik”, memenuhi kriteria sebagai media pembelajaran yang interaktif. E-modul ini memungkinkan guru untuk mengintegrasikan teori di kelas dengan praktik bengkel sekaligus memberikan keleluasaan bagi siswa untuk melakukan pembelajaran mandiri kapan saja dan di mana saja, sehingga meningkatkan fleksibilitas dan efektivitas proses pembelajaran.
