Author Guidelines

PEDOMAN PENULISAN ARTIKEL JURNAL FACTUM

(Jurnal Kajian Sejarah & Pendidikan Sejarah)

  1. Factum menerbitkan kajian ilmiah dan ringkasan hasil penelitian tentang sejarah dan pendidikan sejarah.
  2. Artikel harus asli, dalam arti belum pernah diterbitkan/publikasi dalam jurnal/media lain sebelumnya.
  3. Penulisan naskah menggunakan naskah bahasa Indonesia atau bahasa Inggris dengan benar. panjang naskah antara 15-20 halaman (4000-8000 kata), kertas A4, diketik 1,5 spasi, huruf Times New Roman, font size 12.
  4. Artikel dikirim melalui online submission Jurnal FACTUM, dengan alamat http://ejournal.upi.edu/index.php/factum/user/register (langsung klik daftar/register).
  5. Artikel yang masuk ke meja redaksi diseleksi oleh penyunting ahli atau mitra bestari. Artikel dapat diterima tanpa perbaikan, diterima dengan perbaikan,atau ditolak, dan artikel yang ditolak akan dikembalikan sesuai permintaan penulis.
  6. Artikel ditulis dengan sistematika sebagai berikut.
  • Judul, ditulis dengan singkat dan padat, maksimum 15 kata, dan harus mencerminkan subtansi sejarah dan kependidikan sejarah.
  • Nama Penulis, ditulis tanpa gelar, letak di bawah judul (dapat individu/kelompok) dan diberi keterangan dalam footnote nama instansi dan alamat penulis yang bisa dihubungi.
  • Abstrak: di dalam abstrak memuat latar belakang masalah, metode penelitian, perumusan masalah/pertanyaan penelitian, hasil penelitian, dan kata kunci. Abstrak ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia.
  • Batang tubuh artikel, memuat (1) Pendahuluan yang berisi latar belakang masalah, diuraikan secara langsung dari konsep-konsep/variabel penelitian dengan menggunakan kutipan-kutipan/rujukan yang relevan, Perumusan masalah yang diwujudkan dalam bentuk kalimat Tanya, Urgensi Penelitian dengan mencakup tujuan & manfaat penelitian yang dinarasikan, (2) Metode penelitian yang memuat metode dan pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan, (3) Hasil Penelitian dan Pembahasan yang membahas sesuai penelitian yang dikaji. Antara hasil penelitian dan pembahasan disatukan dalam satu pembahasan, (4) Kesimpulan disesuaikan dengan jumlah perumusan masalah, namun harus disusun secara sistematis dan dideskripsikan secara naratif dan runut.
  • Daftar Pustaka, merupakan sumber yang dirujuk atau dikutip dalam batang tubuh artikel, baik dari sumber buku, jurnal, internet disatukan secara alphabet. Daftar pustaka menggunakan kaidah yang dikeluarkan oleh APA.

 

Please prepare your manuscript following the instructions for authors given below before submitting it online at below. Basically, the template for FACTUM journal follows the author guidelines attached in here. 

 

PREPARATION

Use of word processing software

It is important that the file be saved in the native format of the word processor used (.doc or .docx). Please use template for preparing the manuscript. 

Article structure

  • Introduction: It is a mandatory to explain the objectives of the work, as well as an adequate background, a literature review, a summary of the results.
  • Material and methods: It is a mandatory to explain sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced.
  • Results: Results should be clear and concise. Explain tables and figures.
  • Discussion: This section must be supported by comparison with theory and previous studies. It is a mandatory to put references.
  • Conclusions: It must be about 5 sentences and must be correlated to the abstract and objective.

Abstract

It must be concise, containing objective, methods, results, discussion, and impact. 

Keywords

Author(s) must provide maximum 6 keywords, relating to the main objective and results. 

Nomenclature and units

Follow internationally accepted rules and conventions: use the international system of units (SI).  

Math formulae

Please submit math equations as editable text and not as images. Add number for math formulae 

Tables

Please submit tables as editable text and not as images. 

References

Author(s) must use APA system for in-text citation and references. We strongly suggest author(s) to take reference from article journal (not other) if it is possible.

Examples:

Nandiyanto, A. B. D., Oktiani, R., & Ragadhita, R. (2019). How to read and interpret FTIR spectroscope of organic material. Indonesian Journal of Science and Technology, 4(1), 97-118.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Submission: 400.00 (IDR)
Authors are required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
