Strategi Guru dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Ekonomi Akuntansi di SMA Negeri 7 Cirebon

Abstract


This research aims to describe the teacher's strategy in increasing student learning motivation, student learning motivation, supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing student learning motivation in the subject of Accounting Economics at SMA Negeri 7 Cirebon. This study uses a qualitative method of case study type research. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Testing the credibility of the data using triangulation of data sources. The results of the study show that teachers use PBL learning strategies (Problem Based Learning) with the method of lectures, discussions, and group work. In addition, the teacher also uses verbal motivational strategies, giving praise, adding grades or numbers, punishment, and giving assignments. Student motivation in accounting economics subjects at SMA Negeri 7 Cirebon is still not optimal. The supporting factors in increasing students' learning motivation are seen from the intrinsic factors, namely the feeling of liking and interest in accounting economics subjects, the desire to get high scores, and the desire to enter state universities. Supporters of learning motivation come from extrinsic factors, namely the friendship environment and the existence of a punishment. The inhibiting factor is influenced by the students themselves, the lack of encouragement from within the students. In addition, the environment also affects the motivation to learn.
