PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN CTL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SISWA KELAS III SD

Abstract


 

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low ability to understand the concept of class IIIC students in one public elementary school. This is because the learning method applied by the teacher is not effective enough to be able to improve students' ability to understand concepts. This study aims to describe the application of the CTL approach to improve students' ability to understand concepts. The research method carried out is the research of the Kemmis model and MC class actions. Taggart is carried out in two cycles with the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection in each cycle. The research subjects were students of class IIIC totaling 24 people. This research was carried out in class IIIC public elementary schools in Cicendo sub-district of Bandung in February - April 2018. This PTK data collection instrument consisted of observation sheets, evaluation sheets, and field notes. The results of the study can be concluded that the application of the CTL approach can improve the ability to understand the concept of class IIIC students of public elementary schools in the city of Bandung.
