Abstract


Abstract: This research based on the low of reading coprehension ability in 5th grade elemntary student SDN C in Bandung City. This case happened because of the learning process doesn’t train student to improve their reading comrehension ability. The aim of this research is to describe the application of PORPE strategy  (Practice, Organize, Rehease, Practice, Evaluate) for increasing the 5th grade student reading comprehension ability in  SDN C, Bandung City. The research method that be used in this research is Classroom Action Research Kemmis and Taggart model. The subject of this research is the student of SDN C in Bandung City which is in the 5th grade with the tolah 37 students. The technique of collecting data use test and non-test technic such as (observation sheet, field note, and documentation) with data processing technique for qualitative (reduction, data display, and verification) and quantitatif. This Classroom Action Research done in two cycle. The result of of this research showed the enhancement from cycle I to ctcle II with graduation rate  for classical up y 85%. This indicates that the application of PORPE strategi can increse 5th grade student reading comprehension ability di SDN C, Bandung City.
