Abstract

This research is motivated by the AKSI results which state that student’s abilities in mathematics are still lacking. Lack of habitual thinking students and the creativity of teachers in learning are factors that affect student’s abilities, so it has impacting on the low habits of mathematical thinking and learning outcomes. It makes researchers feel the need to improve mathematical thinking habits and student learning outcomes in mathematics. The AMORA learning model developed by Iriawan (2018) is believed to be able to improve mathematical thinking habits and student learning outcomes. The research method used was a Quasi Experiment Research method with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. Data collection techniques were carried out through scale items and observation sheets as qualitative data and learning achievement tests as quantitative data conducted on the experimental class and the control class. The sample in this research were students of class IV with a total of 60 students. Based on the findings in the field the researcher can conclude that the AMORA learning model applied to the experimental class can significantly improve mathematical habits of Mind and student learning outcomes compared to conventional learning that is applied to the control class
