PENERAPAN METODE ROLE PLAYING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


The present study is concucted because the student have poor speaking skills as shown from the issue in speaking skills indicator. The present study aims to describe the implementation of articulation methods in role playing first grade elementary school student’speaking skills and the improvement of first grade student’speaking skills. This study usingclassroom action research method and Kemmis and Taggart model. This study is concucted in two cycles, with one meeting for each cycle. Each cycle consist of planning, execution, observation, dan reflection. This study is concucted in the first grade of one of the national elementary schools in Bandung city. The number of student participated in this study is 35 student. The result of the study shows that speaking skills of the student are improved in each cycle. It is proven from the improvement of students’ learning process and average result of students’ speaking skills in cycle I is 56 the category is low, in cycle II reaches 89 the category is high. This study concludes that students’ speaking skills are improved after implementing articulation strategy.
