RELEVANSI BUKU CERITA ANAK “NOME” KARYA NURHAIDA DENGAN PROGRAM PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


This study titled the relevance between children story “Nome” by Nurhaida with character education program at elementary school. This study aims to describe 3 points: (1) the relevance of story book “Nome” with stage and grade in the school, (2) the relevance of book story “Nome” with the component of character education program, and (3) the relevance of story book with the basic competence of Bahasa Indonesia at elementary school. Ideally the educational process does not only develop cognitive aspects, but it also develops good character. This study uses descriptive analysis methods while the data source is a story book titled "Nome" by Nurhaida which has been published by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The results show that: (1) Of the seven sub-stories in the “Nome” book which are relevant for elementary school level and class are sub-stories I, II, III, and IV which are for elementary students in grades IV, V, and VI. (2) The book is relevant to the content component of the character education program because it contains five main character values, namely religious, nationalist, integrity, independence, and mutual cooperation. (3) The book is relevant to the structure of the character education program curriculum because it can be integrated in learning Bahasa Indonesia for grade IV and VI.
