PENERAPAN MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA SD

Abstract


This Classroom Action Research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of Grade IV Elementary School students in Mathematics Subject. This is because in learning students are less actively involved and the methods applied are still traditional. This study aims to describe how the planning, implementation and improvement of mathematics learning outcomes of Grade IV elementary school students by applying the STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) cooperative learning model. Participants of this study were 33 fourth grade students in one of the elementary schools in Bandung Wetan. This study uses the CAR (Context -Action ,Result) method of Kemmis Mc Taggart's model with two cycles, each of which consists of four phases : planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Data collection techniques and instruments include observation sheets, field notes, and test questions. Based on the implementation of the two research cycles, there is an increase in student learning outcomes based on mastery learning. The findings from this class action research can be concluded that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model can improve learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students from the first cycle by 63.6%, increasing to 94%.
