Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the design, development, and feasibility of video learning media to train musical intelligence in music art lessons in elementary school, especially grade II elementary school. The research method used is Design and Development or development research. According to Richey and Klein (in Ihsan, 2017, p. 27) there are two things that can be developed in this research, namely tools and models. In line with this, Rusdi (2018) classifies the objectives of development research into two, namely model development and product development. This research develops a product in the form of video learning media. The research model used is ADDIE which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Data collection techniques in this study with quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data was obtained from the questionnaire assessment by experts and qualitative data was obtained from interviews with students. The design stage is done by writing a script which is a media plan as a written guide and its contents become a reference for developing a product (Kustandi, et al., 2020). The next stage of development which is the translation of the design into physical form, carried out several steps including retrieval, editing, and distribution of videos. The results showed that the video learning media that had been developed obtained a percentage value of 82.2% from material experts, 78.6% from media experts, 96% from learning experts. After being averaged, the results obtained are 85.6% with a very good interpretation. The results of the interview show that when listening to the learning video, students clap their hands to the rhythm like the example in the video. This learning video can train students' musical intelligence, one of which is by clapping or hitting objects around them to form a rhythm.
