PENERAPAN METODE CIRC UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SISWA KELAS V SD

Abstract


Baground of this research was motivated by the low of reading comprehension ability of   5rd grade students in an elementary school in sukajadi district in bandung city. That is caused of learning still centered on the teacher and the student did not involved on learning actively. the purpose of this research is describe about learning implementation using CIRC methods to improve reading comprehension ability of 5rd  grade students in elementary school and increase the reading comprehension ability. the methods which used in this research is classroom action research method using Kemmis model and Mc taggart to consist of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. Data collection techniques which used in this research is observation, field notes, and testing. as for the learning instrument is using observation paper, field notes, and question test. The result showed an increase un students reading ability of 5rd grade. At the pre-cycle completeness percentage was only 16%. In the first cycle the percentage of completeness was 59%. In cycle II, the percentage of completeness increased by 94%. Based on classroom action research that has been done, it can be conclude that application of CIRC method can improve reading comprehension ability of 5th grade students in elementary school.
